National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery (NSAS) files

These data were used for a wide range of analyses. This series contains patient demographic data as well as data on surgical and nonsurgical procedures performed on an ambulatory basis in a hospital or freestanding surgery center's general operating rooms, dedicated ambulatory surgery rooms and other specialized rooms, such as endoscopy units and cardiac catheterization labs.
