EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network (block C: irrigation blocks of Baleizão-Quintos, Beringel-Beja, Cinco Reis, Ermida, Ervidel, Roxo-Sado and São Pedro-Baleizão): Bird Atlas – population trends [winter/spring 2021]

The dataset contains records of all birds collected in the area of the block C of the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (irrigation blocks of Baleizão-Quintos, Beringel-Beja, Cinco Reis], Ermida, Ervidel, Roxo-Sado and São Pedro-Baleizão) and in a control zone, performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in the winter and spring of 2021, in 680 sampling squares of 1x1 km (UTM grid), distributed in the area affected by the Irrigation Block (559 “impact” squares) and in a control area (181 “control” squares), stratified by habitat.

A total of 64954 contacts was obtained, for 159 species and/or genus of birds.
