Stokes drift, wind stress, wind and directional wave spectra from twelve buoy stations in the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific from 1973-06-22 to 2016-07-06 (NCEI Accession 0175004)

Also included in this accession are the Stokes drift and u* ew where u* = (magnitude of the local windstress/water density)^1/2 and ew is a unit vector in the direction of the local wind, which are all estimated from the wind and directional wave spectra data.

The wind observations were obtained from the National Data Buoy Center and the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory. Observed directional wave spectra were obtained from the National Data Buoy Center and the Coastal Data Information Program. There are three netCDF files for each of the 12 stations in the study.
