The climate data has been recorded in Vent, at an elevation of 1890 m a.s.l.
Description
The weather station (10°54'45'' E, 46°51'30'' N) is located close to the village (200 inhabitants) on the valley floor at the Southern end of the South-North extending Ötztal. The standard weather station is part of the meteorological network of the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics, University Innsbruck.
Daily values of air temperature (2 m) at 07:00, 14:00, 19:00 and 21:00 MOZ, maximum and minimum temperature and precipitation have been recorded between 1935-2011. Earlier data back to 1866 is available on request.
