Household Internet Use Survey, 2002 [Canada]

The annual HIUS collects detailed data on the Internet activities of Canadian households. It reports on Canadians using the Internet and measures the extent of their use, location of use, frequency of use and their reasons for using or not using the Internet.

In 1999, data on electronic commerce from home were provided. With 2002 data, users can study the growth of e-commerce by tracking orders, purchases or use of Internet that influence acquisition of products or services. The survey examined Canadian households' access to the Internet at home, in the workplace and in a number of other locations.
