The data contains new estimates for black carbon emissions from flaring in Russia for the period 2012-2017.
Description
Flaring locations and the flared gas volume were estimated from Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS). Black carbon emissions at flare sites were calculated based on oil and gas field-type-specific emission factors.
