A Study of Contradictory Factor Analysis for Successful Criminal Investigation

Under this circumstance, it depends very much on the know-how and experience of the police to come to a reasonable presumption. This is based on the analysis of contradictory factors. There are four purposes for the research: (1) To solve the crimes through the construction of contradictory factors.

(2) To enhance the sensitivity of the detectives with the contradictory factors. (3) To increase the solvability rate of the criminal investigation through the analysis of contradictory factors. (4) To achieve a superior investigation through the application of Expert System.

The methods of the research include: (1) History Study; (2) Case Study; (3) Expert System Analysis. The process of the research is divided into two parts, which include: (1) Investigation: The research try to gather all the contradictory factors by interviewing the well-experienced detectives to made a model management index for contradictory factors. Those who were interviewed included the police in the field of criminal affairs and identification. 2.

Computer: This part of study is divided into three stages as follows. (1) Stage 1. Information Requirement Analysis: This stage includes the research on relevant theories, the classification of information, and the selection of necessary material concerning contradictory factors.

(2) Stage 2. System Establishment: This Stage will try to establish an Expert System called "analysis and suggestion function" by using the classified materials. (3) Stage 3.

System Test, Amendment, and Application: This stage will test the system with the relevant material derived from contradictory factor, and explain how the Expert System provides direction for investigation. The expectations of the research include the four points as follows: (1) To find out the contradictory factor in the criminal cases, and to get the relevant information through systematically interviewing the well-experienced detectives and identification experts, and through the analysis of the burglary cases.

(2) To study the techniques of detection by contradictory factors. (3) To prove the feasibility, by the comparison between the relevant information and cases.
