Data content (data file/table name, observation index content included) This data includes the current situation data set of soil organic carbon content of 30 m resolution wetland in the west of Songnen Plain in 2016, reflecting the distribution of soil organic carbon storage in the west of Songnen Plain, and providing data support for regional ecological environment protection and land spatial planning in the west of Songnen Plain. b.
Construction purpose Soil is the largest organic carbon pool in the earth's surface layer, which stores nearly 1500pgc, which is 2-3 times that of terrestrial vegetation. Although wetlands account for only 6% of the global land area, the organic carbon stored in wetland soil accounts for 20% -30% of the global soil carbon pool. Swamp wetland is the most important wetland type, accounting for 83.5% of the total area of natural wetlands in the world.
