Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth as a potent cell therapy for refractory osteonecrosis

Listed in NCBI GEO

RNA sequencing was performed to compare gene expression profiles between SHED and BMSCs in a rat model of radiation-induced tibial osteonecrosis.

Description

SHED demonstrated enhanced secretion of angiogenic and chemotactic factors and promoted bone regeneration in vivo, whereas BMSCs showed limited effects. These results suggest that SHED may represent a promising therapeutic strategy for refractory osteonecrosis.
