Work Adjustment for Expatriate in Mainland China from Taiwan: Organizational Socialization Approach

The purpose of the article is to construct a theoretical framework for the adjustment of an expatriate in a subsidiary company abroad.

Description

Organizational socialization is theory popular for investigating the adjustment of new entries and someone changed in work roles and contents. Based on the organizational socialization theory, we try to explain how the expatriate adjusts to the new roles and tasks in the new organizational context abroad.

The study of result reveal that socialization in parent company, socialization tactics, role ambiguity and committee propensity have significantly positive effects on socialization in the subsidiary company have positive effects on committee propensity to the subsidiary company. Furthermore, the higher committee propensity, the more active information seeking.
