Dataset of thermal accumulated temperature effect for Guangzhou from January 2020 to May 2025

This dataset provides hourly heat accumulation temperature effect products for Guangzhou from January 2020 to May 2025, defined as the cumulative value of ground temperature exceeding a critical threshold at 2 meters in the past 72 hours, which can be used to represent sustained high temperature intensity.
Description
The data production is based on the hourly ground temperature raw data of 5 national level ground meteorological observation stations in Guangzhou.
After arithmetic averaging, the hourly sequence of 2m temperature in Guangzhou is obtained, and the hourly accumulated heat effect is calculated on this basis. The data consists of two columns, labeled as date and B_warm, representing the date and accumulated temperature effect, respectively, in degrees Celsius.
