Part of the study of the ownership and management of housing in the new towns, commissioned by the, then, Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
Description
Social surveys were undertaken in Crawley, Stevenage, Aycliffe and East Kilbride. The surveys were concerned with the tenure of housing in the new towns and the opinion of the residents about housing tenure.
They were asked not only about local authority and development corporation ownership but also their attitudes to buying or renting.
