This paper presents a concept of recreationist-environment fit that using person-environment (P-E) fit theory to provide the new perspective on recreation research.

Description

The P-E fit perspective is criticized as the interaction of the person and the environment. In a recreation activity, recreationists have to engage in the activity in particular environment,and the environment fit or misfit which recreationist perceived might affect theirs recreation experiences.This research through literature review and deep-interview, develop initial constructs and questionnaire’s items.Through EFA the research findings show 36 itemss and reveal 7 constructs to describe recreationist and environment fit.

And further through CFA to inspect scale model. Finally, this process findings show 18 items and reveal 7 constructs to the scale model.This research expects to provide not only a different perspective on the field of recreation activities but also suggestions for academic research and managerial applications.
