Survey of Income and Education Files

The agency created this survey to provide estimates on the number of school-age children living below the poverty level in order to allocate funds under the Title I program of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 and other federal programs.

Description

This series consists of files with data having a record for each household interviewed, for each family within the household and for each person within the family. This social survey provides data on labor force status, work experience, in come and some expenditures; and basic demographic information such as age, sex, marital status, family and household membership, veteran status, education, and ethnicity.
