Mitotic defects and cell death in sodium valproate-treated HeLa cells

The dataset shows features which were searched for nuclear instability effects in HeLa cells cultured in the presence of 1 mM and 20 mM sodium valproate (VPA) for 4 h, and 20 mM VPA for 48 h.
Description
Cells were fixed in absolute ethanol-glacial acetic acid (3:1, v/v) mixtures for 1 min, rinsed in 70% ethanol, and subjected to the Feulgen reaction followed by a rapid counterstaining with acid fast green for improved identification of cell individuality.
The images were examined using a Nikon light microscope. The frequecies of the features were established for 2000 cells selected randomly.
