Sampling Six plots sampled per NEON site during the green season Sampling bout frequency depends on frequency type for a site High intensity: Every three weeks Site is considered high frequency if 5 or more ticks were collected in the previous field season Low intensity: Every six weeks Site is considered low frequency if 5 or fewer ticks were collected in all of the 5 previous field seasons
