Provenance Analysis of 6th-century AD Garnets in the Carpathian Basin (Hungary).” The associated study investigates the provenance of archaeological garnet inlays from sixth-century AD contexts in the Carpathian Basin using a multi-method analytical approach. The present repository dataset contains the tabulated analytical results of three methods applied to garnet inlays from Transdanubia: - scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry (SEM-EDX), - micro-X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (micro-XRF), and - Raman microspectroscopy (micro-Raman) as well as two methods applied to reference garnet samples from geological deposits: - electron microprobe with energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EPMA), and - laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS).
