Checklist of Vascular Plants of the Kum-Tekey Relict Sands, a Proposed Important Plant Area for Astragalus rubtzovii, Northern Tian-Shan, Kazakhstan

The site represents a small isolated relict sand massif in the Northern Tian-Shan and is the only confirmed locality of the narrow endemic and nationally protected Astragalus rubtzovii Boriss.

The dataset supports IPA/KBA designation, conservation planning, Red List assessment, and long-term biodiversity monitoring. It integrates historical floristic sources, modern geobotanical descriptions, published data on rare and endemic plants, Plantarium photographic records, and a taxonomically revised working checklist of the Kum-Tekey cenoflora. Note on checklist reliability The current checklist includes only vascular plant taxa considered reported for the Kum-Tekey sand.
