The agency collected data for these files annually to determine the characteristics of persons getting divorced.
Description
The data were used to conduct a wide range of analyses. This series contains information on selected divorces in the United States and the Virgin Islands.
Information includes the date and place of marriage, length of marriage, and date and place of divorce, as well as information on the former husband and wife pertaining to birth, place of residence, education, previous marriag es, and number of children. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC). See the ARC catalog entry for this series for more information on this data and how to order it.
