This is a dataset collected by students at the University Centre in Svalbard through the course AB-202, Arctic Marine Biology, in the spring of 2025.
Description
In this dataset, we investigated the biodiversity of zooplankton at four different locations around Svalbard: IsK, Kongsfjorden, Smeerenburg, and St. Jonsfjorden.
This was conducted from March 19th to March 22nd, 2025, in the following order as mentioned. We used a multinet at all locations. Samples were collected from the surface and the bottom of the water column, and at greater depths, additional samples were taken from the middle of the water column.
