Chironomidae relative abundance data with environmental descriptors from Lake Balaton watershed

This data file summarizes relative abundance data of benthic Chironomidae larvae from five projects examining community-environment relationships in Lake Balaton (Hungary) and Kis-Balaton wetland, and responses of chironomid assemblages to different anthropogenic stressors such as recreational beaches in Lake Balaton, and settlements and fishponds in streams of the Lake Balaton watershed. The 723 sample including in total 65581 identified individuals, were collected between 2012 and 2023, and they represent information on 544 sampling sites.

Data of all five projects include relevant and detailed environmental properties by samples. In the readme worksheet, a short description is provided on each parameter in the database.
