A dataset of plant community structure, biomass and nutrients in the grasslands of northwestern Liaoning

In 2024, this dataset was constructed through standardized field surveys and indoor physicochemical analyses conducted at 20 grassland fixed monitoring sites (119°26′19″E – 123°30′52″E, 40°35′34″N – 43°1′0″N) in the grasslands of northwestern Liaoning. The dataset included information on sampling locations, sampling times, community structure (species coverage, species density, species height, community coverage, community density, community height), biomass (species biomass, community aboveground biomass, standing litter dry weight, litter dry weight, belowground biomass), and nutrients (aboveground parts: crude fat, crude protein, crude ash, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, total carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus; belowground parts: total carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus).

This dataset could provide fundamental data and benchmark references for characterizing grassland community structure, assessing current resource status, and supporting related comparative studies in northwestern Liaoning.
