Survey Data on Stakeholder Perceptions of the Impact of Mergers on Selected Indian Banks Using the Sustainability Balanced Scorecard Framework
Listed in Teesside University Research Data Repository
The dataset is designed to capture perception-based responses on the impact of mergers on selected Indian banks using the Sustainability Balanced Scorecard framework.
Description
It includes screening questions to ensure that respondents have awareness or experience of Indian bank mergers, followed by demographic information such as gender, age, education, occupation, banking experience, type of banking relationship, and familiarity with specific merged banks.
The main measurement section collects responses through a 7-point Likert scale ranging from “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree.” It measures eight major constructs: Financial Performance Perspective, Customer Perspective, Internal Business Process Perspective, Learning and Growth Perspective, Social Sustainability Perspective, Environmental Sustainability Perspective, Governance and Transparency Perspective, and Overall Post-Merger Performance.

Each construct contains six items, making the dataset suitable for quantitative analysis such as reliability testing, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and PLS-SEM. Overall, the dataset helps examine how different stakeholder groups perceive the financial, operational, customer-related, governance, and sustainability outcomes of bank mergers in India.
