The BeeCON project: phenology data associated to Apis dorsata nesting sites monitored in Belitung Island, Indonesia (2024-10-09 to 2026-04-27)

Observations were recorded weekly by field surveyors at 146 plant monitoring sites distributed across three villages (Kembiri, Tanjung Rusa and Perpat) covering a range of tropical plant species characteristic of the local environment. Data were extracted from the BeeCON project relational database and processed through a quality control pipeline including deduplication, outlier removal, and conflict resolution for inconsistent flowering index entries.

The dataset spans from 9 October 2024 to 27 April 2026, providing a longitudinal record of floral resource availability across the monitoring network. Each record contains the following fields: observation_date (date of the field observation), site_name (plant monitoring site identifier), village (village the site belongs to), latitude and longitude (location coordinates snapped to a 500-meter grid centroid), flowering_index (flowering intensity index ranging from -1 to 4), and scientific_name (scientific name of the observed plant species).
