Municipal boundaries as reported to the US Census Bureau.
Description
Boundaries are as of January 1, 2020 and were the boundaries used in the 2020 Census. This file includes a subset of the 2020 Place Boundary file provided by the US Census Bureau.
This dataset includes only incorporated places. More detail on the TIGER/Line shape files can be found here: TIGER/Line Shapefiles and TIGER/Line Files Technical Documentation (census.gov) In addition, land and water areas have been converted from the original reported square meters to square miles and dates of incorporation and the primary and additional counties for which the municipality is located have been added.
