A dataset of carbon storage distribution of Urumqi on InVEST model

As the capital and political, economic and cultural center of Xinjiang, Urumqi is also an important central city and international inland port area of northwest China. Its reasonable layout of economic and ecological construction has a important impact on the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the overall layout of the country 's westward opening. Based on the data requirements of the InVEST model carbon module, this study collected land use data, meteorological data and carbon density data from 2000 to 2020 of Urumqi to evaluate regional carbon storage.

The original data sources are reliable, and the data processing and calculation strictly follow the professional operating procedures to ensure the accuracy of the data results. The carbon density data involved in this study are difficult to obtain directly and fit the study area based on the correction of meteorological data, which plays a creative role in improving the accuracy of carbon storage calculation in InVEST model area.
