This chapter reviews the rationale for education in situations of emergency and crisis, and the basic principles for emergency education.
Description
It examines how these principles were reflected in some recent emergencies. The intense 1990s debate on education kits is revisited.
A final section examines the implications of the study for preparedness and cooperation.
