EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network, (Block A) and Cuba IBA: Bird Atlas [spring 2017]

The dataset contains records of all birds collected in an area of the Secondary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (Block A: Alvito-Pisão) and in the Important Bird Area (IBA) of Cuba, in the framework of a “Bird Atlas” performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in the spring of 2017, in 178 sampling squares of 1x1 km (UTM grid), distributed in the area affected by the Irrigation Block (152 “impact” squares) and in a control area (26 “control” squares), stratified by habitat.

A total of 21252 contacts was obtained, for 109 species of birds.
