Unified Description of the Casimir Force and Spacetime Curvature via the Emergent Effects of the Quantum Vacuum

Listed in ScienceDB

Behind the success of general relativity and the standard cosmological model lie fundamental problems such as the absence of a microscopic mechanism for gravity and the uncertain nature of dark matter and dark energy.

Description

This paper proposes a unified theory of gravity based on the emergent effects of quantum vacuum, whose core innovation lies in achieving cross-scale parameter closure from microscopic quantum effects to macroscopic gravitational phenomena.

The theory uses a set of microscopic parameters  independently calibrated from the Casimir effect to, for the first time, calculate Newtons constant G from first principles (with a 0.29% deviation from the experimental value) without introducing any dark components or extra degrees of freedom. It also self-consistently describes a series of cross-scale phenomena including surface gravity, the residual perihelion precession of Mercury, galactic rotation curves, dynamic dark energy, and the upper mass limit of neutron stars.

The theory predicts the quantized spectral characteristics of gravitational waves in the kilohertz band, providing clear targets for experimental verification. This study offers a complete framework for the quantum vacuum origin of gravity that is quantitatively calculable and testable across scales.
