To make this file, I started with File name = WTPDs, Start times for all UCs. 26 Oct 2020 See note about below about SYSTAT file = WHPOLYUC Another OLDFile name = WTPDs, Start time for all UCs, ABRIDGED, 29 Oct 2020 I created this file on 01 Oct 2020 from SYSTAT file = WHPOLYUC, which I created on 22 Nov 2011.
Description
Early SYSTAT file goes through 2011 only. I did NOT score times of aboveground cops as times for underground consortships-- I THINK I followed this same rationale for BTPDs, GPDs, and UPDs.
With a few exceptions, this file only contains data from females observed for estrus and copulations. This file has now been checked TWO TIMES by JLH alone--except new data for First UCStart, Last UCStart, and CUCStart On 27 Oct 2020 I add new data for FirstUCStart, LastUCStart, and CUC Start have been checked ONETIME ONLY Times here reflect FRACTIONS OF HOURS. FirstUCStart of 14.5, for example, means 230 rather than 205.

For another example, CUCStart of 1783 means time of 1750 hours. NOTE WELL: I did NOT follow this same method regarding 24-hour times for FirstUCs, LastUCs, and CUCs for all four species. Check each species for methodology I used for that species.
Abovecop = 0 means CUC was UNDERGROUND. Abovecop = 1 means CUC was CAC and was ABOVEGROUND. UC = Underground Consortship CUC = Critical Underground Consortship, when insemination probably occurred CAC = Critical Aboveground Consortship, when insemination probably occurred These data used for Figures 15.7, 15.8, and 15.9 in Hoogland 2026.
This file ready for longterm storage on 15 March 2025. Each line contains information from one prairie dog per year. I consider data from the same female in different years to be independent.
Number = JLH designation for WTPD in single year, for convenience All times are 24-hour times (military times). Each WTPD female could have only ONE First UC and only ONE Last UC But a WTPD could have had 2-3 CUCs or 2-3 CACs if she received sperm from 2-3 males.
