Ground effect on rigid-elastic coupling flutter of flying-wing aircraft

Listed in ScienceDB

This dataset was generated through simulations of a flexible flying wing aircraft, based on the modeling methodology proposed in this paper. The file "trimData.mat" can be loaded using the MATLAB load function.

Description

It provides the static aeroelastic trim results of the aircraft considering ground effect. Within this file, the trim_alpha matrix contains airspeed (unit: m/s) in the 1st column, and the 2nd to 5th columns represent the trim angles of attack (unit: deg) at ground clearances of 0.5 times the mean aerodynamic chord (MAC), 1 MAC, 2 MAC, and infinity (out of ground effect), respectively.

Similarly, the 1st column of the trim_elasticDisp matrix is airspeed (unit: m/s), while the 2nd to 5th columns denote the trim wingtip elastic deformations (non-dimensionalized by the aircraft's semi-span) at ground clearances of 0.5 MAC, 1 MAC, 2 MAC, and infinity, respectively. The trim_delta matrix follows the same structure, with the 1st column being airspeed (unit: m/s) and the 2nd to 5th columns representing the trim control surface deflections (unit: deg) at the corresponding ground clearances of 0.5 MAC, 1 MAC, 2 MAC, and infinity. The file "rootlocusData.mat" can also be loaded using MATLAB.

It contains the root locus distribution results of the rigid-elastic coupled aeroservoelastic model considering ground effect. The rootData_dh05 matrix provides the eigenvalues of the model at a ground clearance of 0.5 MAC; the odd columns represent the real parts of the eigenvalues at various airspeeds, while the even columns represent the corresponding imaginary parts. The matrices rootData_dh1, rootData_dh2, and rootData_dhInf share this exact column arrangement (odd columns for real parts, even columns for imaginary parts across respective airspeeds), representing the eigenvalues of the rigid-elastic coupled model at ground clearances of 1 MAC, 2 MAC, and infinity, respectively. The file "fftData_U30_hc05vsInf.dat" is provided in plain text format and can be accessed directly using any standard text editor.

It contains the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) spectrum analysis results of the wingtip acceleration response under control surface sweep excitation, specifically for the rigid-elastic coupled aeroservoelastic model operating at a flight condition with an airspeed of 30 m/s. In this file, the 1st and 2nd columns correspond to the frequency and amplitude of the FFT spectrum at a ground clearance of 0.5 MAC, while the 3rd and 4th columns correspond to the frequency and amplitude of the FFT spectrum at an infinite ground clearance (out of ground effect).
