Comparative transcriptome analysis of resistant and susceptible Brassica juncea lines infected with Albugo candida reveal white rust defense mechanism

Listed in NCBI GEO

In this study, we aim to elucidate the transcriptome of white rust resistance in contrasting resistant and susceptible Brassica juncea lines.

Description

We have taken Near-Isogenic lines (NILs) fpor our study. These NILs, sharing an almost identical genetic background but differing in the presence or absence of a resistance locus, provide an excellent system for investigating the mechanistic basis of resistance.

So, activation of defense-related genes downstream of R-gene recognition further reinforces resistance and distinguishes resistant from susceptible interactions.
