Die Karte wurde aus publizierten geologischen Aufnahmen, sowie nicht veröffentlichten Manuskripten der Universität Innsbruck und der Geosphere Austria zusammengesetzt.
Description
Die Kompilation wurde auf eine gemeinsame Nomenklatur gebracht sowie hinsichtlich der Blattschnittgrenzen und Übergänge auf Richtigkeit und Sinnhaftigkeit geprüft und gegebenenfalls adaptiert. Ein besonderes Augenmerk der Karte liegt auf den Permo-Mesozoischen Einheiten der Nördlichen Kalkalpen, da diese als besonders wichtig für die Nutzung von hydrothermaler Geothermie im Projektgebiet angesehen wurden.
Das Kristallin und das Quartär wurden hingegen stark vereinfacht dargestellt.
