Dataset for Fire effects on survival and reproduction of Vellozia gigantea (Velloziaceae), an endemic and threatened species of Brazil’s campo rupestre

This is the dataset used in the manuscript "Fire effects on survival and reproduction of Vellozia gigantea (Velloziaceae), an endemic and threatened species of Brazil’s campo rupestre"

This dataset contains data on Vellozia gigantea individuals after a fire event that occurred in 2020 at Serra do Padre Angelo (southeast Brazil). In May 2021 (seven months after the fire episode), twenty-two 50 x 2 m transects were established: eleven in the burned area and eleven in a nearby unburned area where Vellozia gigantea occurs.

In each transect, all individuals of V. gigantea were measured for height and had their fruiting (0/1) and survival (0/1) recorded.
