Kinematic and surface electromyographic data obtained during functional tasks

This dataset contains three-dimensional kinematic and surface electromyographic (sEMG) data from eight healthy volunteers (7 males and 1 female; age: 27 ± 7.8 years; body mass: 72.1 ± 15.1 kg; height: 1.73 ± 0.10 m) performing two standardized hand-function assessments: the Box and Block Test (BBT) and the Southampton Hand Assessment Procedure (SHAP) with the dominant and non-dominant limbs. The dataset was collected to support the investigation of movement characteristics, neuromuscular activity, motor control, and neuromechanical behavior during functional upper-limb tasks.

It includes synchronized kinematic and sEMG recordings and enables comparisons between limbs and functional assessments. All data were collected under an ethics-approved protocol (CAAE 90477225.9.0000.5404) with written informed consent from all participants.
