Degraded land reclamation actions in 4 countries along the route of the Great Green Wall

Substantial efforts have been directed towards implementing Sustainable Land Management (SLM) practices aimed at combating land degradation. In this context, the dataset "Degraded land reclamation actions in 4 countries along the Great Green Wall" is a contribution to the effort (i) to collect, centralize and describe degraded land reclamation actions (DLRAs) and (ii) to identify the different stakeholders in the countries along the Great Green Wall.

It concerns 4 countries: Niger, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Senegal. Seven main steps for the data collection process regarding DLRAs were necessary for the creation of a spatially referenced data table that ensures traceability of DLRAs and enables them to be monitored. Beyond geolocation, three other monitoring criteria were considered during the data integration process: the description of DLRA, details about implementation, details about stakeholders involved.
