Analysis of manganese nodules found at Onybygambah, Australia

In the scrub-land near Onybygambab, on the Tweed river, are scattered about numerous spherical nodules which are dark and shining, with the appearance of seeds, or dull black; they are soft, and of the size of a pea to that of a Barcelona nut.
