Climate and landscape variables of Bavaria quadrants in LandKlif study design
Listed in RADAR and RADAR4Memory — shown once because both records carry DOI 10.58160/83
LandKlif project aims at studying the effects of climate change on biodiversity and ecosystem services in different landscape types.
Description
We used the Bavaria quadrants as a representative regions that cover the temperature, precipitation and elevation gradients in Bavaria. We have classified the climate and landscape gradient of Bavaria into 5 climatic zones, 3 landscape types.
In each of these climate-landscape zones, 4 replicates have been selected based on distance to our partner institutions and least spatial autocorrelation, resulting in a total of 60 quadrants. The climate and landscape variables of these 60 quadrants are calculated in this dataset. The coordinate system of the shapefiles is ETRS89 / UTM zone 32N (EPSG:25832).
