The role of organizational culture in reducing turnover intention among hospital staff insights on emotional intelligence

Listed in NCL Data

<p>The aim of this study is to examine how organizational culture influences turnover intention among healthcare employees in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with emotional intelligence and emotional exhaustion considered as mediating mechanisms.

Description

The study employed a quantitative cross-sectional design and analyzed data from 125 healthcare employees in Bosnia and Herzegovina using Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that organizational culture significantly reduces emotional exhaustion and turnover intention, while also positively influencing emotional intelligence.

Emotional exhaustion significantly predicts higher turnover intention. However, emotional intelligence did not have a significant direct effect on emotional exhaustion or turnover intention. Mediation analysis further indicated that neither emotional exhaustion nor emotional intelligence significantly mediated the relationship between organizational culture and turnover intention.
