Listed in Harvard Dataverse

This research analyses mother\'s health knowledge, health behavior and prenatal care and their effects on child health in Taiwan.

Description

The study differs from other studies by introducing the different health production functions before and after birth, and that the delivery plays an important role for a child\'s health prospects. Infant health outcomes include birthweight, the probabilities of low-and very low-weight births, birthweight adjusted for gestational ages.

Indicators of child health include child\'s weight and height. Some key questions that we will address are: What are the impacts of prenatal care and other health behaviors on infant health outcomes? How do these effects differ by mother\'s education and health knowledge?
