Studien- und Berufswahl von Maturandinnen und Maturanden im Kanton Zürich: Befragung 1992

In addition to fundamental considerations, empirically collected data can also contribute to deepening the relevant discussion. The focus of this research project are the intended study and career choices of the Matura graduates (including any interim solutions) depending on gender, type of Matura, school location and social class affiliation as well as the most important development trends.

With the 1995 survey we have data on the central variables over a twenty-year period. Thus, the development over a correspondingly long period of time can be tracked and interpreted. In addition to the mentioned purpose of providing data as a basis for educational policy developments, the results should allow those who deal with Matura graduates on a daily basis to classify and review their experiences and insights on the basis of an empirical survey.
