Security and Defence Policy Opinions in Germany 2002

In 2002, this study was continued. For this purpose, N = 1629 persons were interviewed on various issues from September 7, 2002 until October 12, 2002.

The present survey focused in particular on Security and threat perceptions, reasons for and against becoming a soldier, the image of the Federal Armed Forces and its soldiers, the role of the Federal Armed Forces in society, foreign deployments of the Federal Armed Forces, perceptions of branches of the armed forces, the role of compulsory military service, political and social participation, psycho-social profile-items, and questions about the working environment.
