Scanned and tiled airphotos from before the Mactaquac Dam, New Brunswick, including text and archival photos from storymap

In the summer of 2014, funded by SSHRC Insight Grant (435-2012-0636), then-MREM intern Larissa Holman travelled to New Brunswick to scan hard-copy 1962-63 aerial photography held by the Provincial government from the area of the Mactaquac Hydroelectric Dam headpond upriver as far as Pokiok.
Description
This was used to build an ESRI GIS-based storymap that has been available since then that allowed viewers to 'swipe' between the pre-dam imagery and the current imagery in the system.
The storymap also provided text and archival images to highlight particular places along that section of headpond. Since 2014 we have maintained this storymap, but in 2026 changes within ESRI and the storymap have made this difficult to achieve. As a result, we are uploading all the materials here for any researchers interested in these materials.
