Online Survey Results: Acadian Diaspora Connections to Nova Scotia Dykeland and Tidal Wetland Landscapes

The aims of this project were to explore (a) how Acadians define their identity, (b) how Acadians might benefit from the Bay of Fundy’s dykeland system, and (c) why Acadians might see themselves as stakeholders in coastal adaptation decisions in the Bay of Fundy’s dykeland system.
Description
We collected data using the Qualtrics XM Platform between August 12, 2024 and May 25, 2025 (Qualtrics, 2024) and cleaned the resulting dataset on July, 15, 2026, using the “tidyverse” package in RStudio (Ihaka & Gentleman, 1996; Posit Software, PBC, 2026; Wickham et al., 2019).
