# MDRP-SSD-Instances Benchmark instances for the MDRP-SSD ## Instance naming Each instance is named: ```text MDRP-SSD-n-r.txt ``` where `n` is the number of customer ships and `r` is the replicate number.
Description
For example, `MDRP-SSD-10-2.txt` is the second instance with 10 customer ships. The archive contains 48 instances, with three instances for each problem size from 5 to 20. ## Instance format Each file contains the following global parameters: - `MOTHERSHIP_SPEED`: mothership speed in km/min - `DRONE_SPEED`: drone speed in km/min - `DRONE_ENDURANCE`: maximum sortie duration in minutes The `NODE_SECTION` contains: | Field | Meaning | | --- | --- | | `ID` | Node identifier; node 0 is the shore depot | | `X0`, `Y0` | Initial node coordinates in km | | `VX`, `VY` | Node velocity components in km/min | The shore depot is stationary.
The position of customer ship \(i\) at time \(t\) is \[ \left(X0_i+VX_i t,\;Y0_i+VY_i t\right). \] All numerical values are provided to two decimal places.
