Repeatability of Wind Directions and Calms

Listed in NASA Earthdata CMR

Hydrometeorological data on the conditions of the environment are held by the Russian State Fund of data.

Description

This dataset was created by RIHMI-WDC in 1979 and containes gridded data from 3524 stations of the USSR. Repeatability is calculated by data of observations for 4 climatic hours (01, 07, 13, 19) and given by 8-points wind-rose; for wind direction in % from a number cases without regard for calms; for calms - in % from a total number of observations.

Data is currently stored on magnetic tape (800 bit/inch).
