Functional vulnerability and environmental filtering in a Neotropical seasonally dry tropical forest: insights from Caatinga bryophytes

<p dir="ltr">This repository contains the data, supporting materials, and reproducible R code associated with the study “Functional vulnerability and environmental filtering in a Neotropical seasonally dry tropical forest: insights from Caatinga bryophytes”.</p><p dir="ltr">The repository includes a functional trait matrix for 663 bryophyte taxa covering 16 morphological and reproductive traits, provided in reader-oriented XLSX and analysis-ready CSV formats; seven Supplementary Material workbooks documenting environmental and spatial predictor selection, spatial sampling standardization, functional entity classifications, taxonomic richness and functional diversity indices, generalized linear models and diagnostics, RLQ analyses, and fourth-corner analyses; and the complete R pipeline used to reproduce the analyses.</p><p dir="ltr">The analytical workflow incorporates 999 spatially standardized resamplings to account for heterogeneous sampling effort and propagates this uncertainty through the functional diversity, environmental, RLQ, and fourth-corner analyses.

The accompanying README files document trait coding, required inputs, project structure, software environment, execution procedure, and principal reproducibility rules.</p><p dir="ltr">The taxonomic occurrence database used as an input is a separate resource and is not duplicated in this repository.
