Clinical Significance and Molecular Characteristics of Co-mutation of BRAF V600E and TERT Promoter in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

This dataset is derived from a prospective clinical cohort study and integrated analysis with public databases, aiming to explore the clinical pathological characteristics and prognostic value of BRAF V600E and TERT promoter co mutations in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Clinical cohort data: Prospective inclusion of 245 cases of thyroid nodule fine needle aspiration (FNA) patients in a hospital in 2024, using digital PCR technology to detect BRAF V600E and TERT promoter mutation status.

Using postoperative histopathological diagnosis as the gold standard, 225 PTC patients were ultimately included. The data variables include clinical and pathological information such as age, gender, BMI, TNM staging, lymph node metastasis, membrane invasion, multifocal tumor, gene mutation status, and progression free survival (PFS). Public database data: RNA seq gene expression data and corresponding clinical information (including BRAF and TERT mutation status, overall survival, disease-free survival, etc.) of 456 thyroid cancer samples were downloaded from the TCGA database and divided into wild-type, single mutation group, and co mutation group according to mutation status for differential expression analysis and pathway enrichment analysis. This dataset covers two levels: genomics and transcriptomics, and can provide reference for PTC molecular typing and prognostic evaluation research.
