Mollusca Phylum Collection (Order Lepetellida) of the Zoology Museum, University of Concepción UCCC_MZUC_MOL

The specimens were collected between 1922 and 2009, primarily in Chile, from the Arica and Parinacota Region to the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region. The dataset also includes specimens from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Greenland, New Zealand, Spain, the United States and Uruguay.

Specimens were collected by researchers and scientific expeditions, including the CIMAR 10 and the Chiloé Expedition. They are preserved as dry shells and in fluid (alcohol), and each is associated with a unique catalog number (MZUC-UCCC) and a defined storage location within the museum.This dataset includes type material (paratype) of one species deposited in the collection, Diodora codoceoae J. H. McLean & Andrade, 1982 (UCCC_MZUC_MOL_15527).Specimen data were initially recorded in an internal database of the museum and subsequently standardized following the Darwin Core (DwC) format.
