Nature Returns Vegetation data – Local Partnership Projects. Collected between 2023-03-02 and 2024-09-19, across England.

The dataset was collected to explore the relationships between carbon and biodiversity in habitats with key evidence gaps. Across the pilot sites, baseline surveys for vegetation and carbon were conducted before work begins to monitor changes in both.

Almost all surveys within the project were undertaken between May and September, in accordance with best practice guidelines for their respective habitat. Four sites were surveyed on the 2nd and 3rd March 2023 due to limitations concerning the timing of interventions.
